MANUFACTURING

RTI International Metals, the parent of RMI Titanium Co., announced several promotions.

Nikolaus J. Fath was named director of continuous improvement at the corporate level. He has been with the company since 1997 when he started as plant manager of RTI Alloys in Canton.

Jerome D. Bennett has been promoted to director of human resources for the company’s titanium group. He had been director of human resources at RMI. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Lake Erie College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Myers University.

Richard L. Lidstone was promoted to project manager for the titanium group. He had been product manager for ingot products. He holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Robert DeGrange has been named general manager for melting for the titanium group. He had been plant manager of RTI Alloys in Canton. He holds an associate degree in business management from Hocking Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Ohio University.

Shane Probst was promoted to plant manager at RTI Alloys in Canton. He had been production manager at the plant.

Ronald Sloan has also joined RTI Alloys’s Specialty Alloys Division as plant manager. He had been plant manager/manufacturing manager at Union Process Inc..

Gary L. Miller has been promoted to product manager for ingot products at RMI. He had been production manager for ingot products. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement administration.

SERVICE

Karen E. Conklin of Liberty has been appointed executive director of the Humane Society of Greater Akron. She had been chief executive of Girl Scouts Lake to River Council. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in business administration.

ACCOUNTING

William Vennetti has been named a principal in Packer Thomas, an accounting firm with offices in Youngstown and New Castle, Pa. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University and has 11 years of experience in accounting.

Lynda Hall Chos has joined O’Connor, Hoso & Loree, a Warren accounting firm, to assume a newly created position as an automotive specialist. She has 30 years’ experience in the automobile business and automotive accounting. For the past 12 years, she has been in public accounting, working with numerous automotive clients.

Jacquelyn Kauffman and Matthew Bender have been promoted to supervisors at Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic, a Canfield accounting firm. Kauffman joined the firm in 2003 as a senior team accountant. She earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and a master’s degree in marketing from Youngstown State University. Bender joined the firm in 2005 and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University.

MANUFACTURING

Specialty Strip & Oscillating hired Kera Parker of Warren as accounting manager. She earned an associate degree in accounting from Trumbull Business College.

REAL ESTATE

Donna Latimer of Austintown, Donald G. Smith of Boardman and Michele Stere of Hubbard joined Coldwell Banker First Place Real Estate as real estate agents. Latimer joined the Canfield office, while Smith and Stere joined the Boardman office.

Latimer received her training at Hondros College and has been a licensed real estate agent for seven years. She also works in the community services department of the Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.

Smith received his real estate training at ETI Technical Institute. He said he decided to start a career in real estate because he has always enjoyed following the real estate market and because his father and grandfather were in the business.

Stere received her training at ETI Technical Institute. She has worked in the customer service industry for the past 10 years.
