“The Gourmet Next Door” (1 p.m., Food Network): Amy Finley sliced and diced her way to victory in “The Next Food Network Star” competition. Now that she is that star, Finley brings her kitchen tips to this new daytime series, giving viewers a taste of turning everyday meals into gourmet specialities.

“Frosted Pink” (4 p.m., ABC): Hollywood stars, music and figure skating are all part of this special that focuses attention on women’s cancers. The program, taped Oct. 6 in Santa Monica, Calif., includes musical performances by Rascal Flatts, Olivia Newton-John, Joss Stone and others, plus skating routines by Nancy Kerrigan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Oksana Baiul, Kurt Browning and Sasha Cohen. Peggy Fleming and Sharon Osbourne host.

“Mobile Home Disaster” (7 p.m., CMT): No, it’s not about tornadoes destroying a trailer park. Instead, this special puts a spin on those home renovation programs, tackling a deserving family’s messy, crowded mobile home and reconstructing every inch. Comedian Bill Engvall and his makeover crew help turn the family into the envy of all of their trailer park neighbors.

“Girl Meets Cowboy” (10 p.m., WE): City women looking for love take a chance with a change of scenery that has them heading out into the rural West to wrangle for the affection of old-fashioned cowboys. But they’ll also have to put up with a bunch of “ranch-style” challenges.

“Dangerous Encounters with Brady Barr: Snake Bite” (10 p.m., National Geographic Channel): Most people would have steered clear of the cave in Indonesia known as “snake palace.” But not Dr. Brady Barr, an intrepid reptile scientist whose latest adventures are captured on a National Geographic Channel documentary. Barr goes in pursuit of a python, and finds one, all 11 feet of it, just before it wraps its powerful coils around his legs and sinks in its teeth. Ahead for Barr, once he is freed from the snake’s agonizing grip, is a 27-hour journey to Singapore for medical attention. But six weeks later, he returns to “snake palace,” still after that python.
