Show to highlight social, cultural issues
YOUNGSTOWN — Pastor Joyce Lawson will discuss the Mahoning Valley Association of Churches’ annual Crop Walk on Sunday’s “Community Connection” show. The Crop Walk is a fundraiser designed to raise awareness of hunger.
Also on will be Joe McGeorge of Warriors Inc., who will discuss a new initiative to teach young men about character, leadership, ethics and responsibility; and Melissa L. Pearce, executive director of the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, who will discuss domestic violence programs.
Madonna Chism Pinkard is the host of “Community Connection.” The show airs at 7 a.m. on WFMJ-TV 21. The show will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable channel 15 in Trumbull County.
