Golf tourney raises $42,000 for Rich Center
YOUNGSTOWN — Organizers of the Paula and Anthony Rich (PAR) Memorial Golf Tournament have come through again for the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University.
The group presented the center with a check for $42,000 representing the proceeds from this year’s 12th annual tournament.
The center is located in Fedor Hall on the YSU campus.
Since its inception in 1995, the tournament has raised more than $400,000 for the study and treatment of autism in the community.
The PAR Memorial Golf Tournament is run by friends of the Kosar, Rich (Ricchiuti) and Rubino families.
The Rich Center for Autism is a tribute to the memory of Paula and Anthony Rich, who died in a plane crash in 1994 outside of Pittsburgh.
The chairmen of the golf committee are Matt Pecchia, Ralph Cascarelli and Dominic Marchionda. Area businesses contributing to the golf outing included Outback, Gia Russo, Muzzy’s restaurant, First National Bank, Humility of Mary Health Partners, Channel 33 WYTV, PALO Creative and Park Place Printing.
