John P. Sweeney of Poland has been named an Academic Excellence Scholarship. He will receive an annual award of $500 if he maintains a 3.0 grade point average.

Jonathan Marlowe, son of Robert and Susan Marlowe of Canfield, and David Dean, son of Renee Dean and David Dean of New Castle, were elected as members of the homecoming court this fall. Marlowe is a junior business administration and financial economics major and a graduate of Canfield High School. Dean is a junior psychology major and a graduate of Shenango High School.

Courtney Long, daughter of Edward and Torea Long of Poland, is a member of the Ashland University Women’s Chorus. The chorus provides women with an opportunity to study and perform choral literature written especially for treble voices and representing a variety of styles, eras, composers and languages.
