OCCHA schedules dinner as fundraiser


BOARDMAN — Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana Inc. has planned a fund-raising dinner to be held in celebration of its 35th year of service to the community.

The event will begin with a social gathering at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave.

Dinner at 6:30 will be followed by an awards ceremony and dancing to the music of Noel Quintana & Latin Crew and “DJ Chico.” There will also be a Chinese and silent auction.

Honored at the event will be the recipients of the organization’s 2007 scholarships:

• Reynaldo Parry — OCCHA Scholarship.

• Ricardo Gonzalez — Becerra Scholarship

• Elmer Martinez Gonzalez — Hispanic Teacher’s Scholarship.

• Alyssa Rojas — Medical Scholarship.

• Bianca Diaz — Romero Scholarship.
