Dinner is fundraiser for transplant fund

AUSTINTOWN — A pasta dinner will be served from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Gatsby Restaurant, 54 Westchester Drive, as a benefit for Gina Acierno Kijowski, who is awaiting a five-organ transplant.

The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 10 and free for those 5 and under. Carryouts will be available, and there will be a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle, bake sale and cash bar. TV viewing will also be available for sport fans.

Kijowski, a wife and a mother of two youngsters, was diagnosed with a rapidly growing desmoid tumor in March, leading to the surgical removal of several organs in June.
