Skating party set at Chevrolet Centre

YOUNGSTOWN — The Skating Club of Greater Youngstown and Kidskate will open the 2007 skating season by holding a “Blast of a Skating Party” from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Chevrolet Centre.

The event is open to the public for open skating, and free lessons will be available for beginners.

Admission is $5, and a limited number of skates will be available for rent at $3. Skaters are reminded to take gloves and a bike helmet for skating safety.

Kidskate Learn-to-Ice-Skate classes ($14 each) begin Saturday at the center and an ongoing series of group classes are scheduled with additional classes added monthly for all ages and abilities.
