GIRARD
Oct. 6
Theft: An Ella Street man discovered six fishing poles and a tackle box stolen from his front porch.
Menacing: A Stull Avenue woman told officers her husband, while about to visit their daughter, threatened to take the girl.
Oct. 7
Truck theft: A North Avenue man said a woman drove away in his 1994 Chevrolet truck after he picked her up.
Oct. 8
Domestic violence: Authorities charged a 27-year-old Washington Avenue man after his wife alleged he punched her in the shoulder several times and placed his hand over her face during an argument.
Theft: An employee with Broadway Service Inc., 230 W. Broadway Ave., reported the theft of about $500 worth of scrap items from a bin.
Felonious assault: After police responded to a possible domestic situation at a Hartzell Avenue home and stopped a car afterward, a Girard man told them he had been stabbed in the leg. One of two people in the vehicle admitted having a knife, the report said.
Theft: An East Prospect Street woman reported her gas grill stolen.
LIBERTY
Oct. 4
Theft: A worker for a Girard tree service company reported a fire extinguisher and an air compressor missing from a work site in the 5300 block of Belmont Avenue.
Arrest: Officers picked up a Youngstown man, 28, at the Mahoning County Jail who was wanted on a warrant from the township.
Assault: A Monticello Boulevard woman alleged a neighbor, 56, grabbed her and shoved her against a wall.
Oct. 5
Identity theft: A state Route 304 man found out someone used his identity to run up a $1,771 electric bill.
Criminal mischief: A Logan Woods Drive man reported two juveniles dumped hand lotion over his vehicle.
Weapon/drugs: After responding to a report of a man with a handgun near a Motor Inn Drive business, authorities took a 26-year-old Girard man into custody on Belmont Avenue. The suspect was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, being a convicted felon with a firearm and possession of marijuana when, police say, they found a loaded .25-caliber semiautomatic pistol, and he admitted having a bag of suspected marijuana.
Trespassing: While responding to a disturbance at a Green Acres Drive apartment, officers arrested an 18-year-old Niles woman upon learning she was wanted on a warrant charging her with criminal trespassing. She faced an additional count because she was on the property despite having been warned to stay off, police said.
Theft: A woman in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road reported someone broke into her car and took a $550 in-dash DVD player.
Arrest: A 54-year-old Hubbard man surrendered to police and was picked up in the 4200 block of Belmont Avenue. He was wanted on a warrant from Trumbull County.
Oct. 6
Theft: A Coral Springs, Fla., man reported items stolen from him while in the 4000 block of Belmont Avenue.
Theft/weapon: Police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after three DVDs were stolen from Movie Gallery, 3551 Belmont Ave. Another Youngstown man, 36, faced charges of complicity to theft, carrying a concealed weapon and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle when, officers say, he had a pocket knife.
Oct. 7
Aggravated assault: A Tibbetts-Wick Road woman told authorities a 37-year-old woman struck the accuser with a rock during an argument. The woman had marks on her back and neck.
Breaking and entering: A man reported someone broke into a concession stand in the 300 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road and removed $100 worth of candy and soda.
Oct. 8
Theft: Property was taken from a residence in the 30 block of James Lane.

Oct. 5
Theft: A woman reported the theft of knives from her North Main Street home.
Theft: A Hubbard man reported his passport stolen from his vehicle.
Theft: A Hubbard woman visiting an Oakdale Avenue cemetery found that flags, flowers and lights had been removed from two grave sites.
Theft: A wheelbarrow was stolen from a work site in the 400 block of Myron Street.
Fraud: A Hubbard woman reported that checks stolen from her while she was in Campbell were cashed at a Hubbard bank.
Drugs: Authorities got a report of possible drug sales from a Hillview Drive apartment.
Oct. 6
Criminal damaging: A warrant was issued against a Hubbard man charging him with the crime.
Oct. 7
Drugs: While conducting a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Liberty Street, police charged a Sharon, Pa., man with possession of dangerous drugs, marijuana and drug possession; a Farrell, Pa., man faced one count of possession of dangerous drugs and was wanted on a warrant accusing him of passing bad checks.
Oct. 8
Theft: A license plate was removed from a vehicle in the 500 block of Moore Street.
Theft: A School Street man reported the theft of a cell phone.
Fraud: An employee of Walgreens Pharmacy on North Main Street called police after someone tried to pass a forged prescription.
