GIRLS

Fitch 3, Poland 2

POLAND — Tori Koch, Kelsey Martin and Dana Lucido scored a goal for the Falcons (10-3-2). Martin and Koch each had an assist. Jordan Palumbo scored both of the goals for the Bulldogs (7-5-2). Kelly Strokel had an assist. Fitch took 15 shots on goal and Poland had 16. Goalkeeper Ali Tolich made 10 saves for the Falcons and Pam Shore had 10 saves for the Bulldogs. JVs: Poland 8-0.

Canfield 1, Ursuline 1

CANFIELD — Noelle Fox had Canfield’s goal in the 50th minute, then Ursuline’s Hannah Snyder tied the score with three minutes remaining in the non-conference clash. Canfield (7-5-3) goalkeeper Anokha Padubidri made four saves while Ursuline’s (10-1-2) Nikka Bonamase made nine stops.

Warren Harding 5, Struthers 0

WARREN — Anna Montecalvo and Jenna Bolina scored on penalty kicks for the Raiders (11-3-0). Elena Ware, Katie Talstein and Avrielle Merten scored the other goals. Ware, Katie Polenick and Rachel Lamarco had assists. Merten made three saves in goal and Stephanie Cross made three. For Struthers (7-6-0), Courtney Ekman made 17 saves.

Maplewood 6, Youngstown Christian 2

BAZETTA — Michelle Sloan had three goals and one assist for Maplewood, while Tori Spencer and Erica Pinko each had one goal and one assist for the Rockets (5-6-3), who led 2-1 at halftime. Emily Paris added a goal and Ellie Engstrom made 15 saves. Kara Cooper scored a goal and assisted on her sister Kristy’s goal for YCS (8-4-2). Kaitlyn Vestal made 11 saves. Michelle Sloan had three, Emily Paris had one, Tori Spencer had one and Erica Pinko had one.

Champion 3, Girard 0

CHAMPION — Erika Stevens, Katie Saluga and Briana Salgado scored for the Golden Flashes (9-3-3, 7-0-2 Trumbull Athletic Conference). Jessica Craley had an assist. For Girard (3-9-4, 3-5-2), goalkeeper Mellissa Weitzman made seven saves. JVs: Champion, 2-0.

Springfield 6, Liberty 0

LIBERTY — Carrie Ritzler scored three goals for the Tigers (10-4-1). Katie Bretz, Allyson Berry and Breanne Mincher had one apiece. Amber Uscianowski and Kayla Ohli an assist. The Tigers took 15 shots on goal and Liberty had seven. Heather Cozak had five saves for the Tigers.

BOYS

Liberty 4, LaBrae 0

LEAVITTSBURG — Tom Stark scored two goals while Erich Berberich and Pat McGarry had one each. Evan Hideg had three assists and Matt Britton one. Goalkeeper Josh Hideg made for saves for the Leopards (6-8-1, 4-5-1 Trumbull Athletic Conference). Vikings goalkeeper Andrew Ozanich made 13 saves.

Heartland Christian 6, Columbiana 2

COLUMBIANA — Kyle Knepper scored three goals, while Tyler Burgess added two and Justin Storm one for Heartland Christian (13-2). Treg Lunger had two assists and Storm and Knepper had one apiece. Seth Welker and Josh Harold each scored a goal for the Clippers. Heartland Christian had 22 shots on goal and Columbiana five.
