It will include 220 single-family homes, with 450 homes total. Westford broke ground six years ago with an office building along its Route 224 frontage. Now that his problems with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency are over, developer Chuck Whitman estimates it will take another five years to completely finish the development.
IN PLACE
In Westford Commons, the office and retail complex, development along U.S. 224 includes Wendy’s restaurant and Dunkin Donuts so far. A Panera Bread is being built right now, and Smith Jewelers is planned next to it. There is also an outpatient surgery center in the complex.
Kennsington is a 227-acre Brian Huntley-designed 18-hole par-71 championship golf course. Its clubhouse is being built now, and will feature a restaurant to be announced. The golf course can still handle events even though the clubhouse isn’t done, said Jonah Karzmer, the golf professional in charge of the course’s operations. It is open to the public, with no memberships required.
A 19-acre driving range.
Bradford Greene, a condominium complex that will include 78 units around a clubhouse and pool. Building continues there, with 44 units built and sold so far. Preconstruction prices start at $184,900.
Wakehurst Village, which will include 68 villa-style homes. The villas are stand-alone homes on smaller lots. The issues with the EPA interrupted work there after five villas were built. Building will resume this week, Whitman said. Lots there start at $49,800.
Langston Run, which features single-family homes. Building is continuing there. There are two homes completed.
Kyleridge Pointe, another single-family home area. It and Langston Run will include more than 100 homes that aren’t gated. There are 23 homes there now. Lots start at $65,000, $75,000 for a golf course rear view in Langston and Kyleridge.
Twelve man-made lakes that are stocked with fish.
