Reception held for the Nodays on anniversary


XYOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Gene Noday of Youngstown were honored at a dinner and reception held Oct. 6 at Leo’s Ristoranté in Howland in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Hosting the dinner for the couple’s family and members of their original wedding party were their daughter, Debbie Ruse of Youngstown; their daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tony Costanzo of Pittsburgh; and their granddaughters, Gina, Ashley and April Ruse, all of Youngstown.

The Nodays also marked the anniversary by renewing their marriage vows during a Mass held July 29 at St. Luke Church in Boardman, where they are charter members.

The former Mary Jane Santoro and Mr. Noday were married Oct. 5, 1957, at St. Lucy Church in Campbell.

Mrs. Noday retired in 1993 after owning and operating Noday’s Beauty Shop for 40 years. She is a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and of St. Luke Bocce League.

Mr. Noday retired from Butler Wick and Co. in 1999 and is employed at Becker’s Funeral Home. He is a member of St. Luke Holy Name Society and the St. Luke Bocce League.
