XAUSTINTOWN — Lateefah A. Muhammad and Ivan L. Thomas Sr. were married at 2 p.m. July 21 at Idaho Road Alliance Church by the Rev. Robert W. Burton, the bride’s cousin.

Parents of the bride are Wadee’ah Muhammad of Austintown, and Robert O. Muhammad of Lancaster, and the groom is a son of Bruce Adams of Girard.

After a reception at the Regency House, the couple left on a wedding trip to Aruba. They live in Austintown.

The bride’s white, strapless A-line gown featured a corset-style bodice enhanced with Swarovski beading and a chapel train.

Honor attendant was Robin Wright, who wore a silver gown. Wearing lilac gowns were the bridesmaids, Rasheedah Muhammad, the bride’s sister; Paula Clay, her cousin; Latike Morris; and Marla Adams, the groon’s sister. Junior bridesmaid was his niece, Mykell Rushton.

Best man was the groom’s brother, Edward B. Thomas, and groomsmen were Christopher Thomas, also his brother; and Najee and Robert Muhammad, brothers of the bride. Junior groomsman was the couple’s son, Ivan L. Thomas Jr. Ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Najee Muhammad II, and ushers were the groom’s nephews, D’Andre Rushton and Edward J. Thomas.

The bride is a senior at Youngstown State University, where she is pursuing a degree in advertising/public relations. The groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is an international tax manager with PriceWaterhouseCoppers, LLP, in Cleveland.
