XYOUNGSTOWN — A reception was held at Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna on July 21 to celebrate the marriage of Gina M. Pannunzio and Michael J. Alexander, who exchanged nuptial vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony that day at St. Christine Church.
The Rev. Gene Weikart officiated at the wedding for the daughter of Gino and Carol Pannunzio, 5950 Sharon Drive, and the son of Dr. Louis and Norma Alexander, 1388 St. Albans Drive.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the couple live at 7597 Sugar Creek Drive.
Pearls and Swarovski crystals adorned the bride’s silk shantung gown. It featured a ruched bodice with a scooped neckline and pearl straps, a pickup skirt and chapel train.
Raspberry-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, McKenzie Ogsodnik, and the bridesmaids, Katie Carnie, Jenn Conti, Trisha McHenry, Angela Pannunzio and Christina Pannunzio. Flower girl was MaKenzie Yozwiak.
Serving as best man was Joseph Alexander, and groomsmen were Kelly Alexander, Lou Alexander, Marty Desmond, Chad Pannunzio and Todd Sardich. Ring bearer was Nicholas Pannunzio, and the usher was John Detesco.
The bride, a third-grade teacher with Ellsworth Elementary School, is pursuing a master’s degree in education at Youngstown State University.
The groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is in specialty sales with National City Bank.
