Celebration held for D’Onofrios on anniversary
XLOWELLVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. D’Onofrio of Lowellville, who were united in marriage Sept. 21, 1957, at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a family dinner held at The Elm Tree in Struthers.
Hosts for the event were their daughter, Dalene Lawless; son, Donnie D’Onofrio; and granddaughter, Samantha Lawless.
The couple renewed their nuptial vows at an anniversary Mass held June 10 at St. Columba Cathedral, and continued the anniversary celebration with a trip to Atlantic City.
Mrs. D’Onofrio, the former Delores Polis, is a homemaker and was formerly a secretary.
Mr. D’Onofrio served in the Korean War and retired after 40 years of service as a central office technician with Ameritech Telephone Co.
The D’Onofrios are members of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish and several leagues and organizations in the area.
