Classes offered
Retired police Sergeant Bruce Knodel will be conducting a Self Defense Shooting and CCW Permit class at the Brookfield Conservation Club on October 12, 13 and 14.
The first class will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Brookfield Tri-Dist. Conservation Club located on Sharon Hogue Road in Brookfield, Ohio. Oct. 13 and 14 classes are set for 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The class will cover the NRA Basic Pistol Course and Self Defense Combat shooting.
Enrollments are now being taken for the classes. The class is limited to no more than ten (10) students. The fee for the class is $100.00 and includes all printed, study, and testing material. Graduates will receive both certificates for the NRA Basic Pistol and Combat Self Defense Shooting. These will qualify the student to apply for the Ohio Concealed Carry Permit.

Towpath Trail closed
BRECKSVILLE ā The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail will be closed to the general public starting at 6 a.m. Sunday due to the Towpath Marathon. All of the parking lots along the Towpath Trail, including Indigo Lake Trailhead, will be closed at dusk today.
Ducks Unlimited

Fall tractor ride
WARREN ā The Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County will have its third annual Fall Foliage Tractor Ride on Oct. 13. The trip will cover approximately 30 miles through the corners of Trumbull, Geauga and Ashtabula counties.
