Farm foliage tour set in Trumbull


CORTLAND — A free drive-it-yourself farm foliage tour featuring eight stops in Bazetta, Gustavus, Kinsman and Vernon townships will be held in northeast Trumbull County from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 14.

Agriculture related exhibits, antique tractors, food and restroom facilities will be shown at each stop.

The public is invited to:

See dairy cows at Logan Acres.

Check out white pumpkins at Peter’s Pumpkin Patch.

Learn about grain production and equipment at W.I. Miller & Sons.

Take a hayride at Storeyland Christmas Tree Farm.

Sample produce at B&K Farm Market.

Visit horses and meets the “Friendly Trapper” at Wilde Horses Feed and Supply.

Look for mums at Sunny Slope Greenhouse.

See antique tractors and the scarecrows at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center.

Tour maps and details will be available at each of the stops the day of the event, or participants can stop at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center, 520 West Main Street, or Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, 321 Mahoning Avenue Northwest, Warren, the week before the event.

The tour is presented by The Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, Farm Service Agency, The Ohio State University’s local Extension Office, Trumbull County Farm Bureau, The Trumbull County Food and Agriculture Committee, Trumbull County Antique Tractor Association, Northeast Ohio Christmas Tree Growers, Trumbull County commissioners and the Trumbull Soil & Water Conservation District.
