Injured hunter taken to hospital in Warren


WEST FARMINGTON— The wounded hunter who went missing in the Grand River Wildlife Area Thursday night was found alive this morning. Darrell Bontrager, 42, of Farmington Township was found at about 10:30 a.m. Officials have not said the nature of his injuries or how they were sustained. Initial reports were that he had somehow shot himself. At about 11:15 a.m. today he was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. A report on his condition was not available. Officials said Bontrager had gone into the 6,000-acre wildlife area maintained by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to check on his deer stand.
