HUBBARD

Sept. 28

Theft: A driver left a Speedway station, 806 W. Liberty St., without paying for gasoline.

Assault: Police responded to a fight between two students at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.

Vandalism: A man in the 700 block of North Main Street reported some of his bushes were trimmed without permission.

Criminal damaging: A man was accused of breaking all of a vehicle’s windows, during a fight with his girlfriend, in the 500 block of West Liberty Street.

Sept. 29

Criminal mischief: A woman cleaning a window to her Taylor Street residence noticed a hole from a BB had been made.

Identity theft: A Lauretta Lane resident reported being a victim, though no other details were in the report.

Sept. 30

Burglary: A break-in was reported at a Moore Street residence.

Criminal damaging: A Moore Street man noticed a friend’s vehicle’s windshield was broken.

LIBERTY

Sept. 27

Theft: A woman moving from a Tuttle Drive residence discovered a washing machine and dryer were missing.

Theft: Police arrested a 35-year-old Myrtle Beach, S.C., woman and a Hubbard woman, 30, on theft charges. The two were accused of leaving Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., without paying for $38 worth of groceries.

Theft: Police arrested a 27-year-old Campbell man on a theft charge after saying he admitted stealing three steaks from Giant Eagle.

Possible theft: An Ohio Trail woman suspected a United Parcel Service package delivered to her residence was stolen.

Theft: Someone took a $950 hood off a truck at Motor City USA, 4506 Belmont Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle sustained damage in the 2900 block of Northview Drive.

Recovered property: Police located a 1994 Ford vehicle in the 3300 block of Belmont Avenue that apparently had been stolen from a Youngstown ambulance company.

Sept. 28

Counterfeit: A clerk with USA Gas Mart, 2904 Belmont Ave., reported getting a phony $20 bill.

Breaking and entering: An inspection of property in the 1700 block of Church Hill Road revealed someone took $3,000 worth of copper piping from the basement of a residence.

Breaking and entering: A woman noticed a rear basement door to her Sunny Drive home had been forced open, and that $1,000 of copper piping and a $1,000 water softener were stolen.

Theft: A Louise Lane woman reported metal and vinyl siding were taken from her home.

Sept. 29

Theft: Someone removed an undisclosed amount of money from a box in an office at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.

Possible theft: A Church Hill-Hubbard Road woman said she never received a box of checks she ordered and had mailed to her.

Theft: A man in the 900 block of Colonial Drive reported several firearms were removed from his residence.

Sept. 30

Criminal trespassing: After responding to a disturbance at a Green Acres Drive residence, officers arrested a Niles woman, 18, on a criminal-trespassing charge. She was at the apartment, despite having been warned to stay off the property, police said.

Breaking and entering: An employee with Miller’s Towing Services, 4100 Belmont Ave., found a double front door unlocked and money missing from a drawer.

Theft: A Youngstown woman accused her brother of taking her wallet at a family member’s Belmar Drive home.

Oct. 1

Domestic violence/drugs: Officers arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown man on charges of domestic violence and trafficking in marijuana after a Green Acres Drive woman alleged he punched her in the face and pushed her against a wall. The suspect had in a backpack a bag containing eight bundles of suspected marijuana, police said.

Theft: A man in the 5400 block of Sampson Drive reported a Halloween decoration missing from his yard.

GIRARD

Sept. 28

Theft: A man in the 600 block of Hazel Street noticed $250 missing from his car.

Theft: A worker for Girard Recycling, 426 Hartzell St., found out someone took 1,276 pounds of scrap aluminum rims, valued at a total of $766.

Sept. 30

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Townsend Avenue man accused his brother of taking his 2002 Ford vehicle without permission.

Arrest: A Girard man, 32, was charged with disorderly conduct after police said he tried to force his way past them at a Trumbull Avenue residence and refused to leave.

Arrest: An Austintown woman, 27, and a Niles woman, 34, faced disorderly-conduct charges after officers responded to a fight over a custody situation that occurred in the 700 block of North State Street.

Truck theft: A McDonald man reported his 1984 Chevrolet truck stolen while at a South State Street business.

Oct. 1

Theft: A man in the 400 block of Powers Way reported his garbage can stolen.

Drugs: An Austintown man, 53, was charged with tampering with drugs after authorities got a report of someone trying to distribute OxyContin tablets to an employee of a nearby South State Street business. The man was in possession of a prescription medication in an unmarked package, police said.

Attempted burglary: The owner of property in the 10 block of Cherry Street noticed a home’s rear door window had been broken, apparently when someone tried to gain entry.

Breaking and entering: Police discovered a 10-pound chunk of concrete had been used to break a window at Sami’s Quick Stop, 230 N. State St., before someone took several packs of cigarettes.
