YSU PROJECTIONS


Youngstown State University expects to reduce utility costs by some $1.3 million a year after undergoing an extensive new campus lighting and heating and cooling system renovation project. Areas of projected savings are:

Lighting: $500,893.

Chiller plant: $99,856.

Steam traps and insulation jackets: $244,914.

Pool dehumidification unit: $127,878.

Control enhancement: $86,300.

Miscellaneous facility improvement measures: $236,456.

Nonmeasured project benefits such as lower labor costs to maintain equipment: $ 84,914.
