The Youngstown Police Department’s honor guard, the city’s fire department and the Plazateer Band will escort Pavlik and his team from the Market Street Bridge to Central Square about 5:30 p.m.

Shortly thereafter, Claire Maluso, the city’s director of events, special projects and community outreach, will start the program with welcoming remarks and the introduction of special guests.

Various elected officials will honor Pavlik with presentations and resolutions.

Jack Loew, Pavlik’s trainer, will speak. Pavlik’s family and Team Pavlik members will be recognized.

Pavlik will then address the crowd. That part of the event should end about 7 p.m.

Dom Tocco and the Brotherhood band and other entertainers not yet announced will play until 11 p.m.
