Stolen SUV driven into river in Warren

WARREN – Police are attempting to find out who stole a sport utility vehicle and drove it into the Mahoning River Wednesday afternoon.

City police Sgt. Larry Salvato, traffic investigator, said the 2000 Dodge Durango was stolen on Wick Street Southeast and driven into the river in Packard Park.

Firefighters attached cables to the SUV and pulled it out of the river. There was nothing of interest inside the vehicle, Salvato said.
