Books: Williams-Jones said knitting has “come back into vogue.” Books on the spiritual side include “At Knit’s End — Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much” by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee; “Knitting Heaven and Earth” by Susan Gordon Lydon; “Zen and the Art of Knitting” by Bernadette Murphy; and “Mindful Knitting” by Tara Jon Maning.

To join: Anyone who wants to learn to knit may participate. Church membership is not required. Meetings are from 6 to 8 p.m. the first Monday of the month at the church, 1226 Naylor-Lloyd Road, Girard.
