XBOARDMAN — Mandi Jean Mitchell, a daughter of Richard and JoAnn Calve of Boardman, and David Jon Schialdone of Conneaut, a son of David A. Schialdone of Canfield and Robert and Christina Rudy of Struthers, were married Aug. 10 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
Pastor Robert Noble officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held at Avion on the Water in Canfield before the couple left for a honeymoon at Virginia Beach.
The bride’s strapless A-line gown of ivory satin featured side draping and a chapel train, and was enhanced with beaded champagne lace appliques.
Apple-red gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Melissa Coppola and Christina Brown, and the bridesmaids, Christina Calve, the bride’s sister-in-law; Jennifer Young; and Christine Kukura. Flower girl was the groom’s daughter, Elli Schialdone.
Best men were Michael Coppola and the groom’s brother, Joseph Schialdone. Groomsmen were Richard Calve, a brother of the bride; Anthony Coppola; and Michael Capozzi. Ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Dylan Schialdone, and also participating were his cousins, Kelli and Krista Kollat.
The bride graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is an eligibility referral specialist with Trumbull County Job and Family Services in Warren. The groom earned an associate degree in criminal justice at YSU and is employed by the City of Conneaut.
