XSTRUTHERS — Riviera Maya in Mexico was the honeymoon destination of Jonathan Pulido and his bride, the former Kelly Kosek, who were united in marriage during a 2 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the bride’s cousin, the Rev. Philip Rogers, on Aug. 24 at St. Nicholas Church.
A reception was held afterward at Avion on the Water, Canfield.
The daughter of James and Denise Kosek, 3094 Palmarie Drive, Poland, and the son of Renata and Sonia Pulido, 2125 Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, live in Boardman.
The bride’s strapless ivory taffeta gown featured a corset-back-style bodice and a pickup skirt, and was embellished with Swarovski crystals and blush pearls.
Blush-colored gowns were worn the honor attendant, Danielle Bendel, and the bridesmaids, Jamie Herand, Leah Dinsio, Lyndsey Ball, Christina Pulido, Allie Bendel, Megan Rafeski and Makenzie Bendel. Flower girl was Milla Bojdo.
The duties best man were performed by Kevin Rafeski, and groomsmen were Jim Kosek, Andy Ball, Jessie Zurilla, Scott Bendel, and Mark Nightengal. Ring bearers were Dante and Shane Rafeski.
The bride graduated from Kent State University, Salem Campus, with a bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine. She is a nuclear medicine technologist with Poland Imaging in Poland.
The groom will graduate in May 2008 with a doctor of medicine degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, where he is a fourth-year medical student.
