Body shop owner charged in connection with stolen vehicles


CANFIELD — An auto body shop owner is charged in connection with three vehicles that were reported stolen, police say.

Paul Stevens, 47, owner of Like-New Autobody, 408 W. Main St., appeared in County Court here Wednesday. His case is set for a preliminary hearing at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 2.

Stevens is charged with auto theft, a felony; falsification; and receiving stolen property. He did not enter a plea Wednesday, but indicated on Thursday he plans to plead innocent. He posted a $4,000 bond.
