XNILES — Joseph Thomas Martin and his bride, the former Allyson Marie Verina, honeymooned on the Hawaiian islands of Maui and Oahu after their Aug. 11 wedding at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and reception afterward at the Maronite Center, Youngstown.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas A. Verina Sr., 1453 Kearney St., and son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Joseph Martin, 1226 Will-O-Wood Drive, Liberty, were united in marriage during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Larry Frient.
Austrian crystals adorned the bride’s strapless white tulle gown.
Katherine Yost was the honor attendant, and serving as bridesmaids were Andrea Wright; Lauren Burin, the bride’s cousin; Celeste Conklin; Kristi Falter; and Julie Kolar. They wore periwinkle gowns. Flower girl was Alexandra Bornes, a cousin of the groom.
Performing the duties of best man for his brother was Daniel Martin, and groomsmen were Chad Froomkin, Jason Hill, Brian Whan, Mark Campana and the bride’s brother, Nicholas Verina Jr. Ring bearer was Ethan Hess.
Mrs. Martin graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is a teacher with Niles City Schools.
Mr. Martin, a personal trainer with Akron General Lifestyles, earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in nutrition at YSU.
They live in Brimfield Township.
