Sept. 27

Drugs: Officers arrested a 16-year-old Poland girl at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave., on charges of trafficking in drugs and possession of dangerous drugs after receiving a report of a drug offense.

Theft: A Boardman woman reported a $60 cell phone stolen while at a Woodview Avenue home.

Damage: A Youngstown man noticed a bullet had struck his vehicle’s driver’s-side door when he was in the 3900 block of Market Street.

Domestic violence: An Aravesta Avenue woman, 50, was taken into custody at her residence and charged after an Austintown family member reported being a victim. The accuser was not hurt.

Theft: Officers arrested a 19-year-old Lowellville woman on a theft charge after $33 of makeup was removed from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft/criminal damaging: A Hubbard man came out of a Tiffany Boulevard store and discovered a broken car window. Stolen were a compact-disc player and 150 CDs.

Menacing: An Applecrest Court man reported being threatened with physical harm.

Misuse of a credit card: A worker for a private Market Street business found out a credit card was used to make more than $2,500 worth of unauthorized purchases.

Burglary: A Tam-o-Shanter Drive woman discovered someone entered her home through a rear door before taking $135 from a jar.

Theft: An undisclosed amount of money was taken from Pet Supplies Plus, 411 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: A woman in the 7300 block of West Boulevard told police her vehicle had been entered and her purse removed.

Vandalism: A woman in the 7400 block of West Boulevard discovered her vehicle, along with four others, was damaged.

Drugs: While investigating a vehicular accident near South Avenue and Mathews Road, authorities arrested a 27-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of drug abuse (marijuana). Two suspected marijuana cigarettes were in his pocket, and the man admitted a small bag of suspected marijuana was his, police said.

Theft: A Struthers woman, 34, faced a felony theft count after an employee with Dollar General, 5953 South Ave., discovered money missing from the store.

Sept. 28

Burglary: Police charged an East Liverpool man, 35, with burglary and theft after he was accused of entering an Oregon Trail home through an unlocked rear door and taking $5,000.

Theft: A Canfield woman reported a $6,500 wedding ring stolen while at a Boardman-Poland Road business.

Identity fraud: A Shields Road woman discovered an unauthorized $259 charge on her account for various services.

Theft: A Danbury Drive woman realized her credit account was used for a fraudulent $394 charge.

Aggravated menacing: A Woodrow Avenue man told police someone threatened several juveniles near his home.

Attempted burglary: Someone tried to climb through a window and enter a Jaronte Drive residence.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s rear tire was damaged in the 7400 block of West Boulevard.

Criminal damaging: A Lisbon woman, while in the 7400 block of Market Street, found damage to her car’s rear quarter panel and driver’s-side door.

Theft: A Struthers woman reported her wallet missing from her vehicle after leaving a Doral Drive business.

Burglary: Two Boardman-Canfield Road residents discovered a ground-floor window to their apartment had been pried open. A $600 laptop computer, 50 DVDs, six pairs of shoes and a diamond necklace were among numerous items stolen.

Sept. 29

Theft: Police arrested a 19-year-old Mahoning, Pa., woman on a theft charge after 10 items worth a total of $244 were stolen from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A motorist left a Get Go station, 6911 South Ave., without paying for $59 worth of gasoline.

Menacing: A Carter Circle woman told police of getting numerous harassing phone calls in which she was threatened.

Burglary: A Cook Avenue woman noticed someone had cut a screen and unlocked a kitchen window before taking her purse.

Theft/criminal damaging: A West Boulevard man reported a car radio stolen after someone broke a window to his vehicle and damaged its dashboard.

Criminal mischief: A Boardman man reported a tire to his car was damaged while he was in the 7400 block of Market Street.

Attempted burglary: Someone tried but failed to gain access to a home in the 7200 block of Trenholm Road via several windows.

Sept. 30

Domestic violence: A 26-year-old West Boulevard man was charged after his girlfriend alleged he threatened her. He also was charged with obstructing official business.

Theft: A Beechwood Drive man called police after a furnace and an air-conditioning unit were removed from his residence.

Theft: A 16-year-old girl and a man, 20, both of Youngstown, faced charges of theft and possession of criminal tools after $37.47 worth of clothing was stolen from Family Dollar, 4028 Market St. Also, a 27-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with complicity to theft and possession of criminal tools. Pliers had been used to cut price tags from the merchandise, police said.

Theft: A 20-year-old Struthers man faced charges of theft, resisting arrest and obstructing official business after being accused of stealing 13 CDs from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.

Counterfeit: Officers charged a 44-year-old Youngstown woman with criminal simulation after a Wal-Mart employee reported she tried to pass a phony $499 money gram.

Sept. 27

Theft: An Orchard Drive woman accused a 21-year-old cousin of taking a credit card and using it to make several hundred dollars’ worth of unauthorized purchases. She also discovered a ring and other items missing.
