Goshen officials will dedicate park Monday

GOSHEN — Township trustees will dedicate the township’s new 24-acre Bricker Homestead Park at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Built on land donated by the late Marion Bricker, the park features a one-mile walking trail, a picnic shelter and a lake with an island. Township officials utilized $43,000 in grant money to improve the donated the land, which is mostly wooded, said trustee Robert McCracken. The park has been completed for about six weeks, he said.

“So many people don’t realize we have this park,” he said. “We want to get it out to the people that it is there.”

Bricker Homestead Park is located off Stratton Road, 1-3/4 miles north of state Route 165 or 1/4 mile south of Calla Road.
