Poland Township appliance recycling scheduled

POLAND — Poland Township will accept old appliances for recycling from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Poland Township Government Center, 3339 Dobbins Road.

Items which will be accepted include: Refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers, stoves, freezers hot water heaters, water softeners and other appliances and items made primarily of ferrous/non-metal.

Items which will not be accepted include electronics, tires and household hazardous waste.

There will be no charge for freon removal.

There is a limit of five units to be dropped off per resident or small businesses.
