XNILES — The Rev. David Murphy officiated at 2 p.m. Aug. 11 as Jamila Rogers and Johnnie Richardson were united in marriage at Apostolic Bible Church.

After a reception held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Center, they left for a honeymoon at Myrtle Beach, S.C. They live at 750 W. LaClede Ave., Youngstown.

The bride is a daughter of Cheryl Hewitt, 2250 Penny Lane, Austintown, and the late Robert Hewitt. Parents of the groom are John and Glenda Forester, 1526 Forest Glen Ave., Youngstown.

The bride’s ivory gown featured a halter-style neckline and a chapel train.

Candace Alexander of Austintown, the honor attendant, wore a wine-colored gown, as did the bridesmaids, Victoria Dodson of Austintown and Gail Washington of Warren, a sister of the bride; and the junior bridesmaid, Bria Bennett of Warren, the bride’s cousin. Flower girls were Jasmine and Joselyn Richardson of Youngstown, daughters of the couple.

Donteá Harris of Youngstown was best man, and groomsmen were Justin Johnson of Youngstown and Rob Grayer of Warren. Ring bearer was Jamir Brown of Birmingham, Ala., a nephew of the bride. The bride’s nephew and junior groomsman, Keith Cobb Jr., of Columbus, also served as usher with JaMeir Foester of Youngstown, the groom’s brother.

The bride and groom attended Youngstown State University and are employed at Alltel in Boardman, where she is a sales representative and he is a financial services supervisor.
