It’s leaf-collection time in Girard

GIRARD — Paper lawn bags will again be used for the annual leaf collection. While supplies last, city residents can pick up bags at the street department, 943 S. State St., beginning Oct. 9. Bags can be picked up weekdays from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon through November. The first five bags are free to residents who show a photo ID and utility bill. Additional bags will be sold, five for $1. Collection of leaf bags will be with garbage collection.
