Columbiana community safety day is Saturday

COLUMBIANA — The Columbiana Fire Department will have a community safety day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the fire station at 23 S. Vine St.

The fire department and Columbiana Emergency Medical Services will demonstrate equipment and capabilities, will have handouts on safety, free blood pressure screenings and events for children.

The Columbiana Municipal Electric Co. will also have a free thermometer exchange. People who bring in a thermometer or switch with mercury will get a free digital thermometer while supplies last.
