Ursuline live | Marion Local ties the game at 7

After an Ursuline touchdown, Marion Local returned the kickoff to Ursuline’s 38, then ran two plays to pick up a first down to the Irish 21.

Another run, an offsides penalty, an incomplete pass, and a stuffed run brought up a fourth-and-1 on the Ursuline 16. Tailback Ben Schaefer picked it up, setting up a first down at the Irish 12.

Three plays later brought up another fourth down, this time fourth-and-3 at the Irish 5. I would have kicked it, but Marion goes.

And Nick McGahagan made a GREAT play, diving to knock away a pass in the end zone. Marion Local goes 10 plays, 57 yards and gets nothing. Ursuline takes over with 5:26 left. Three plays (two runs and a dropped pass) and the Irish are forced to punt.

A bad snap, a blocked punt and a recovery in the end zone by Dustin Heitkamp ties the game at 7 with 4:34 left.
