Service provider contract approved

MERCER, Pa. — County commissioners approved a service provider contract with NHS Youth Services Inc., Creekside Center, Meadville, for Foster Care Plus, respite care and therapeutic family care at rates ranging from $29 to $123 daily.

The services will be used as needed by Mercer County Children and Youth Services.

Commissioners also approved contracts with Avanco International Inc., McLean, Va., to provide child accounting and profile system applications services for CYS for $5,493 quarterly. The system is a software program used for reporting to the state.

They also approved systems-related support not to exceed $30,000 for Nov. 1 through June 30, 2008.

In personnel actions, commissioners approved the transfer of deputy sheriff Mark Yassem to a lieutenant’s position at Mercer County Jail. He will be paid $37,302 in his new position.

Deputy Sheriff Bruce Rosa will be moved from part time to full time to replace Yassem with no change in his hourly wage.

Commissioners also approved agreements with Allegheny Radiology Associates and Emergency Care Consultants, both of Sharon, to provide radiological and emergency medical physician services, respectively, to jail inmates at the Medicare fee schedule.
