ASSOCIATIONS

• American Association of University Women, Boardman-Canfield Branch, will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a holiday dinner at Selma’s Restaurant, Struthers. The program will be “Mission of Love — Pine Ridge Reservation,” presented by James Ridge of the Pine Ridge Reservation Lakota Tribe, South Dakota. Hostesses will be Barbara Luce and Karen Denison. • McDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

• Girard Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school cafeteria.

• McDonald Basketball Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

• McDonald Music Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the high school.

CLASSES

• Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s, Route 224, Boardman. All classmates and spouses are welcome.

• Chaney High School January and June 1942 alumni will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. All alumni, spouses and guests are welcome. No reservations are necessary.

• Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s on Route 224, Boardman. Guests are welcome.

CLUBS

• Kent State University Mothers Club will hold a Christmas party at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Boardman Community Center in Boardman Township Park. Members are asked to take a covered dish and a gift for an exchange. There will be an afghan raffle. Tickets and/or money are to be sent to Mary Schaade. Prospective members are welcome. • Poland Center Homemakers will have a Christmas party at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s on Route 224, Boardman. There will be a $5 gift exchange. The next regular meeting will be in February.

• Poland Women’s Club will have a Christmas celebration at noon Monday at Caffé Capri. Hostesses will be Vivian Young, Beth Alexoff and Leslie Williams.

• Mineral Ridge Beautification Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Mineral Ridge Fire Station.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

• Friends of Poland Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for coffee at the library. At the 10 a.m. program, the guest speaker will be Bonnie Sommers, who will present a Christmas program on “Rhymes for a Reason.” New officers will be installed. Hostesses will be Sue Perry, Mary Jane Pavelko, Carol McCoy, Bev Chorey and Diane Fodor. Books and magazines will be accepted for the fundraiser book cart, and a variety of donated books will be sold. Guests are welcome.

POLITICAL CLUBS

• Court Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will have a meeting and Christmas party at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Elmton, 584 Fifth St., Struthers. • Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses will have a Christmas party at noon Thursday at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The cost is $16 in advance.
