Beaver County man charged in death

NATRONA HEIGHTS, Pa. (AP) — A Beaver County man has been charged with beating a man to death with a hammer.

Police have charged 50-year-old Gary Hill, of Aliquippa, with criminal homicide in the killing of 76-year-old Joseph Jackson, of Pittsburgh.

Harrison Police Chief Mike Klein says the two men got into an argument Wednesday night at the Sheldon Park public housing complex.

Hill’s girlfriend, Trudy Smith, called police Thursday morning after Klein says Hill showed her what he had done. She lives in the complex.

Hill was arrested Thursday morning while waiting for a bus.
