Boardman police arrest man for home invasion

BOARDMAN — Police arrested a Youngstown man for burglary stemming from a Southern Boulevard home invasion.

Less than two hours after a Southern Boulevard woman reported two men kicking in the door of her home late Wednesday morning, police had identified one of the suspects, CharzellCalhoun, 21, of Glenwood Avenue, and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Township police and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Calhoun today at the Eastwood Village Apartments on Youngstown’s northeast side where he had been hiding out with his girlfriend. Calhoun is in the Mahoning County Jail.
