Ursuline’s McQueen earns Div. V honor


Ursuline senior quarterback Lamar McQueen shared the offensive player of the year award on the Associated Press Div. V All-Ohio high school football team released Wednesday.

McQueen ran for 722 yards and six touchdowns and added 1,000 yards passing and nine more scores while Ursuline went 8-2 in the regular season. He was one of three Ursuline players to make the first team, joining sophomore defensive lineman Jamel Turner and defensive back Ross Revella. Mathews senior Carmen Lamancusa also made the first team.

In Div. VI, Warren JFK senior running back Jared Province made the first team. He was joined by Wellsville senior defensive lineman Nate Carman, Columbiana linebacker Josh Hertel and Columbiana defensive back Ryan Williams.
