YOUNGSTOWN — City firefighter Andre “Dre” Johnson appeared via video for arraignment today in municipal court on an aggravated drug trafficking charge. Judge Robert P. Milich set bond at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 27. More than a pound of marijuana was found inside Johnson’s North Fruit Street home on Nov. 14 after he was shot in the face, leg and stomach. Johnson, 26, was arrested Monday after the man accused of shooting him, Stefin Gantt, 20, of Warren waived a preliminary hearing on a felonious assault charge. Fire Chief John J. O’Neill Jr. is preparing a letter outlining administrative charges against Johnson.
