Carjacked while crack shopping

YOUNGSTOWN — A 27-year-old Girard man told police he was carjacked while stopped at the traffic light at Wirt Street and Delaware Avenue around 11 p.m. Monday. The victim said a man he thinks he knows from a local crack house approached and threatened him with a gun. The Scopley Street man gave up his 1999 Chevrolet Malibu and the suspect drove off. The victim said he had been driving around the North Side trying to buy some crack cocaine.
