Changes coming

Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann has approved the sale of Forum Health’s Beeghly Medical Park to Akron Children’s Hospital and Humility of Mary Health Partners. Here are some of the changes coming as a result:

Forum Health will close its ambulatory surgery department at Beeghly on Friday and combine it with Northside Medical Center’s ambulatory surgery department.

When operational, sometime in 2008, Beeghly will become Akron Children’s only free-standing, full-service pediatric hospital outside of Akron.

Forum Health plans to spend $300,000 to $350,000 to renovate areas in Northside, in which to relocate services now provided at its Women’s and Infant’s Pavilion at Beeghly, and the diagnostic imaging department.
