CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands — Takia Starks scored 17 points to lead Texas A&M in the Paradise Jam. Starks, 3-for-9 from 3-point range, scored 12 of her points in the second half when the Aggies pulled away by shooting 48 percent from the floor and outrebounding the Hoosiers 25-16. Danielle Gant added 12 points and six rebounds for Texas A&M (4-1). The Aggies, who lost to Wake Forest 53-46 on Friday, rallied after giving up a big early lead to an unranked opponent for the second time in a row.

Jamie Braun led Indiana (4-2) with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists.

No. 16 West Virginia 80, Rhode Island 47

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — Olayinka Sanni scored a game-high 22 points to lead West Virginia past Rhode Island in the championship game of the URI Invitational. Rhode Island cut a 43-22 halftime deficit to 10 points with 10:02 to play with an 18-5 run to open the second half, but West Virginia (5-1) closed the game with a 30-7 run. Safi Mojidi scored 21 points to lead Rhode Island (3-3).

No. 17 George Washington 80, Western Kentucky 63

WASHINGTON — Jessica Adair had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead No. George Washington past Western Kentucky in the championship of the GW Thanksgiving Classic. It was Adair’s second double-double in as many days, following her 18-point, 11-rebound performance in a 65-60 victory over South Dakota State. Tournament MVP Kimberly Beck had 18 points and 12 assists for the Colonials (5-1), who have won two straight since losing 67-42 to No. 7 Rutgers. Sarah-Jo Lawrence added 16 points, six rebounds and five assists. Crystal Kelly led Western Kentucky (4-2) with 30 points.

No. 21 Texas 72, Kentucky 60

HONOLULU — Brittainey Raven scored 17 points to lead Texas past Kentucky in the second round of the Rainbow Wahine Classic. Ashley Lindsey added 16 points for Texas (3-2), which was coming off an 86-83 first-round loss to Virginia. Samantha Mahoney scored 12 points for Kentucky (2-3), and Sarah Elliott added 11.

Temple 61, No. 22 Purdue 47

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands — Ashley Morris scored 19 points to help Temple beat Purdue in the Paradise Jam. Morris scored five of her points during a 12-2 run that put the Owls ahead 45-29 with 11:25 to play in the game. LaKeisha Eaddy added nine points for Temple (2-3), and Shenita Landry had eight points and eight rebounds. Danielle Campbell led Purdue (2-2) with 15 points and seven rebounds.

No. 23 Notre Dame 88, Boston College 58

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Lindsay Schrader had 16 points and Charel Allen added 15 as Notre Dame forced 33 turnovers in a victory over Boston College. Ashley Barlow and Brittany Mallory had 13 points each and Becca Bruszewski added 10 points for the Irish (4-1), who shot 47 percent. The Irish had 21 steals, led by five by Allen and four by Barlow, who also had seven rebounds. Stefanie Murphy led the Eagles (2-2) with 18 points and Carolyn Swords added 11 points and nine rebounds.

No. 24 Auburn 70, Winston-Salem 37

COLUMBUS — Whitney Boddie, Sherell Hobbs and Alli Smalley combined to outscore Winston-Salem in Auburn’s victory at the Buckeye Classic.

Auburn (5-0) scored the game’s first 11 points, thanks to a pressure defense that caused six turnovers and rushed Winston-Salem into missing its first five shots. Boddie had 13 points and nine rebounds, Hobbs had 13 points and eight rebounds, and Smalley added 12 points and four assists. Talneshia Kee led Winston-Salem (0-3) with nine points.
