CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands — Tina Charles had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead No. 2 Connecticut to victory against Old Dominion on Friday night at the Paradise Jam. Connecticut (4-0) also got 12 points from Renee Montgomery and 10 points apiece from Maya Moore and Kalana Greene. T.J. Jordan led Old Dominion (3-1) with 13 points. In the tournament championship on Sunday, Connecticut will face No. 9 Duke, a 64-53 winner over Temple earlier Friday.

No. 8 Georgia 78, Prairie View A&M 44

FREEPORT, Bahamas — Tasha Humphrey scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and No. 8 Georgia remained unbeaten by downing Prairie View A&M in the opening round of the Junkanoo Jam. Ashley Houts scored 13 points and Megan Darrah added 10 for the Bulldogs, who improved to 5-0 for the 13th time under coach Andy Landers. Candice Thompson scored 13 points and Gaati Werema had 12 for Prairie View A&M (1-5).

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands — Carrem Gay had 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 9 Duke to victory over Temple on Friday night at the Paradise Jam. Chante Black had 13 points and Jasmine Thomas added 11 for the Blue Devils (5-0).

No. 10 Oklahoma 88, Mississippi 73

CANCUN, Mexico — Ashley Paris scored 24 points, and Oklahoma used a 10-0 second-half run Friday to beat Mississippi State in the Caribbean Challenge. Paris added eight rebounds for the Sooners, who now have won two after starting 0-2. Teammate and sister Courtney Paris added 16, and Nyeshia Stevenson had 17. Imesia Jackson led Mississippi State with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Wake Forest 53, No. 11 Texas A&M 46

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands — Alex Tchangoue scored 16 points, including four free throws with less than 10 seconds left, to rally Wake Forest over Texas A&M at the Paradise Jam. Tiffany Roulhac added 12 points and four assists and Mekia Valentine had four blocks for the Demon Deacons (4-1). Texas A&M (3-1) was led by Takia Starks with 15 points and five rebounds.

No. 12 California 74, TCU 55

FORT WORTH, Texas — Ashley Walker scored 19 points and fueled a big first-half run that helped California beat TCU. Walker scored the first nine points in a 20-0 spurt that gave California (4-0) a 17-point lead with less than six minutes left in the first half. Adrienne Ross scored 14 points for the Lady Frogs (2-3), including the team’s first 10 points after halftime. California’s Lauren Greif scored 16 points, and Rama N’diaye added 14 points and career-high 17 rebounds.

No. 14 Arizona State 60, Iowa 58

CANCUN, Mexico — Kirsten Thompson’s layup with three seconds to go gave Arizona State a win over Iowa in the final game of the Caribbean Challenge. Lauren Lacey scored 19, Sybil Dosty had 12 and Briann January added 11 for the Sun Devils (3-2), who bounced back after a loss to No. 10 Oklahoma on Thursday. Kristi Smith lead the Hawkeyes (4-1) with 18 points.

No. 16 West Virginia 65, American 61

KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) — Chakhia Cole had 19 points and four steals and West Virginia defeated American University in the URI Invitational. Laquita Owens had 15 points and 10 rebounds for West Virginia (4-1). Olayinka Sanni added 16 points and nine rebounds. Liz Hayes led American (2-3) with 29 points, including six 3-pointers. Talicia Jackson added 13 points.

WASHINGTON — Jessica Adair had 18 points and 11 rebounds and George Washington beat South Dakota State in the GW Thanksgiving Classic. Sarah-Jo Lawrence, who scored 13 points, made four free throws in the final 25.6 seconds for the injury-plagued Colonials (4-1), who led 41-32 with 13:04 left. Kimberly Beck had 16 points and 10 assists for GW, and Antelia Parrish added 10 points. Kristin Rotert came off the bench to score 15 points for South Dakota State.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Tanae Davis-Cain scored 27 points, Shante Williams added 11 points and six assists and Florida State beat Florida. Davis-Cain was 10-of-20 from the field and 5-of-10 from 3-point range for the Seminoles (5-1). Marshae Dotson led Gators (3-2) with 22 points and 15 rebounds. a

Virginia 86, No. 21 Texas 83

HONOLULU — Monica Wright scored 23 points to lead Virginia to an upset victory over Texas in the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Classic. Teammate Aisha Mohammed had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers (4-2). Kathleen Nash led Texas (4-2) with 18 points.

No. 25 Vanderbilt 104, Belmont 43

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Liz Sherwood scored 24 points, and Christina Wirth added 19 to help Vanderbilt rout Belmont in the first round of the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament. The No. 25 Commodores (4-1) led by 32 points in the first half and pushed the advantage to 65 in the second. Shaunda Strayhorn had 10 points for Belmont (2-4).
