Legion post will hold flag disposal ceremony

YOUNGSTOWN — American Legion Post 472, 323 E. Indianola Ave., will conduct an official U.S. flag disposal ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the post. The ceremony is for any citizen that has a U.S. flag and would like to dispose of it in an official and honorable manner, said Gus Guzman, event coordinator. The ceremony is open to all veterans organizations, area veterans and the public. Some area Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts will assist in the event, which is co-sponsored by the International Association of Workforce Professionals.
