Jamie’s Dance Force readies holiday extravaganza


BOARDMAN — Jamie’s Dance Force will present its third annual Christmas Extravaganza at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave.

Christmas Extravaganza tells a story about a trip to Ohio made by Santa Claus and his elves.

Fifty dancers from Jamie’s perform in a variety of styles, including tap, jazz and ballet, with music ranging from rock to classical.

The numbers include “Santa’s Gonna Rock,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Toy Soldiers,” “Rag Dolls” and special selections from “The Nutcracker” ballet.

The show also includes performances from four singers: Dani DeMarco of Boardman, Karlina and Natalina Valley of Canfield, and Jackie Popovec of Canfield. Musicians from Boardman High School will also perform.

The show is choreographed by Jamie Cordon, with the story by Anne-Marie Downey.
