COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Seldom-used freshman forward Emery Wallace scored 18 points, Drey Mingo had 16, and Maryland placed six players in double figures in a 98-50 rout of in-state foe Loyola. The Terrapins (6-0) tied a school record with 12 3-pointers, including three apiece by Wallace and Kristi Toliver. Maryland was coming off a victory Sunday over then-No. 4 LSU in the championship game of the Preseason WNIT. Facing a Loyola squad that represented a significant drop-off in competition, the Terrapins raced to an 11-2 lead, went up by 26 at halftime and breezed to the finish. Vika Sholokhova scored 20 for the Greyhounds (2-2).

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Mara Freshour scored 25 points to lead short-handed Florida State past Fordham. Freshour scored Florida State’s first 10 points, and finished 10-of-13 from the floor, including 5-of-7 from the 3-point line. Tanae Davis-Cain added 16 points, and Jacinta Monroe scored 15 and pulled down seven rebounds for the No. 20 Seminoles (4-1). They shot 54 percent from the field, and held the Rams (0-4) to 27 percent.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich — Freshman Becca Mruszewski scored a career-high 13 points to lead six Notre Dame players in double figures in a rout of Central Michigan. The Fighting Irish (3-1) pulled away from the Chippewas (2-2) for good with a 20-0 run in the final 6 minutes of the first half. Ashley Barlow and Melissa Lechlitner each had 12 points. Barlow also had a career-high 11 rebounds. Tulyah Gaines added 11. Melissa D’Amico and Lindsay Schrader each had 10.
No. 25 Vanderbilt 74, Clemson 56
CLEMSON, S.C. — Liz Sherwood scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Vanderbilt over Clemson. With the game tied at the half, the Commodores (3-1) went on a 24-8 run to start the second half, with 11 of those points coming from Sherwood.
It was quite a contrast from the opening half, where the Commodores raced to a 10-point lead, only to see it go away because of 17 first-half turnovers and watched Clemson (2-3) take a six-point lead.
