Interested companies

The following companies have asked Youngstown officials for information about the city-owned Chevrolet Centre as part of the process to become the facility’s manager.

International Facilities Group of Northbrook, Ill.

VenuWorks of Ames, Iowa, formerly known as Compass Facility Management, which served as Youngstown’s consulting firm on the Chevrolet Centre and in partner with Global Entertainment Corp. served as the facility’s manager during the building’s first two months of operations.

Cavaliers Operating Co. of Cleveland.

SMG of Philadelphia, which manages more than 100 arenas and stadiums including the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans and Soldier Field in Chicago.

Global Spectrum of Philadelphia.

Silicon Valley Sports & Entertainment of San Jose, Calif., which owns the San Jose Sharks National Hockey League team.

AEG of Los Angeles, which operates a number of facilities including the Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers National Basketball Association teams and the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings.
