LUBBOCK, Texas — Graham Harrell and Texas Tech knocked Oklahoma out of the national title chase with a 34-27 victory over the No. 3-ranked Sooners Saturday night.

Harrell threw for 420 yards and two touchdowns for the Red Raiders (8-4, 4-4 Big 12) and for the 11th time this season a top-five team lost to an unranked team.

The Sooners (9-2, 5-2) failed to get on track after quarterback Sam Bradford left the game in the first quarter with an apparent concussion.

Backup Joey Halzle, who had attempted just nine passes coming into the game, struggled to lead the Sooners. He went 21-for-41 for 291 yards. He threw for two touchdowns and had one interception.

CINCINNATI — Pat White ran for a pair of second-quarter touchdowns, leading the Mountaineers to a victory that left only two teams in the conference title chase.

White ran for 155 yards and threw for 140 more. Steve Slaton also ran for 103 yards and a 1-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

Ben Mauk was 19-of-34 for 323 yards for Cincinnati (8-3, 3-3). He also lost a pair of fumbles. Marcus Barnett had 10 catches for 210 yards, the fourth-highest total in Cincinnati history.
