Fire damages East Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — A fire was intentionally set around 12:30 a.m. today at 31 S. Bruce St., a vacant house on the East Side, the fire department said. Light smoke was seen coming from the basement area when crews arrived and fire discovered on the basement steps. Damage was set at $1,000.
